Arrival

Here is some important information before your arrival.

The event will take place at the Sorbonne Université Jussieu campus, specifically in the Charpak amphitheater located at 4 place Jussieu, 75252. The directions to the amphitheater can be found here. The campus is conveniently located near a metro station Jussieu, and once you leave the station, you will easily see the campus.

If you arrive on Wednesday, the 12th, the doors to the Charpak amphitheater will open at 10AM. If you arrive on the same day, you can leave your luggage/bags with us safely stowed away in an office within the lab. We will have lunch in the lobby area of the amphitheater before visiting the SOLEIL synchrotron. We will gather on one side of the campus, and the bus will leave at 12:30 PM.

If you arrive at CDG, take the RER B train to Châtelet Les Halles. Then, take the Metro line 7 towards Villejuif Louis Aragon or Marie d’Ivry and get off at JUSSIEU station.

If you arrive at ORLY, take the short train ORLYVAL towards ANTONY train station. Then, take the RER B train towards CDG to Châtelet Les Halles and proceed as above. Alternatively, take the ORLYBUS directly from ORLY to the RER B train station Denfert Rochereau, and then proceed to Châtelet Les Halles.

Finally, to reach the Charpak amphitheater, head to tower 22 on the Saint Bernard level (or ground floor) of the Jussieu campus. From the forecourt of the campus, go to tower 22, go down one floor (level SB or RC). The amphitheater is located between towers 22 and 23 on the side of the internal roadway. The access to the Charpak amphitheater is through the door 2233-SB-02 (it is the access door to the reception hall). We will also put up signs around the campus to guide you towards the tower in which the amphitheater is located.

We look forward to seeing you soon and hope you have a great time at the symposium!
