About

I was born and raised in northwestern Iran, Tabriz, renowned for literature, world-known carpet and rug, and one of the largest and oldest covered bazaars in the world. The high school time constituted the beginning of my ardor for an inestimably riveting field of Condensed Matter Physics. I completed my BSc degree in Solid State Physics – Electronics and MSc degree in Photonics – Electronics both at the University of Tabriz in Iran with high distinction. I am sincerely grateful to Prof. Saeid Asgharizadeh, who acquainted me with the world of synchrotron and inspired me to continue my PhD studies in X-ray science.

I am currently an early-stage researcher (ESR) in the Materials Chemistry and Catalysis (MCC) group at Utrecht University. Under the supervision of Prof. Frank de Groot and Prof. Uwe Bergmann (University of Wisconsin-Madison), I am working on utilizing time-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) techniques at X-ray free-electron lasers (XFELs) and high harmonic generation (HHG) sources to delve into transition metal oxides. Besides, I will exploit multiplet calculations to apprehend mechanisms underpinning experimental results.
